The City-State of Tuvor Location: 7 miles northwest of Thanabor-Kraah, 800 miles southwest of East Haven, 1600 miles east of Brethindar. Dominant Climate: Temperate hills and plains with scattered forest Population: 38,000 Population Diversity: Humans - 72% Elves - 19% Dwarves - 5% Gnomes - 2% Halflings - 2% Note: The half-elf population is broken down by orientation, whether they are raised under human or elvish traditions. About 4% of the human population is half-elf, with about 2% included as elves. Area of Influence: Tuvor claims and patrols a twenty mile radius from the walls around the city north, west, and south. To the east, Tuvor and the Drwf nation of Thanabor-Kraah share a mutal protection pact to ensure the safety of trade caravans and the upkeep of roads. Within Tuvor's sphere of influence are numerous farms and a few small towns and villages. Government: Tuvor is ruled by a body of nine elected officials chosen from among the nation's businessmen and retired mlitary officers. The position is an appointed lifetime office. The government's only real duties are to keep the roads in good repair, keep the military equipped and funded for the defense of Tuvor's borders, and to maintain a reserve of food and goods in the event of unforseen disasters. Features of Note: The one thing that Tuvor can boast that is missing from Brethindar is a stable population of Elves, making their institutions of learning somewhat more prestigeous.
